Janiene Luke, MD

Dermatologist

Dr. Janiene Luke is a board-certified dermatologist at Loma Linda University Health and professor of dermatology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Recognizing that her patients are more than their conditions, Dr. Luke loves to befriend her patients and their families. As an African American physician, she is particularly passionate about addressing dermatologic concerns across all skin tones and hair types and ensuring equitable education in skin of color dermatology. Recognizing the need for more diversity in the field — where only 3 percent of U.S. dermatologists are Black — she has committed herself to bridging these gaps through education and mentorship. Dr. Luke also uses her Instagram account to dispel myths and educate a broader audience on proper skin care. For her, medicine is a calling — one centered on healing, educating, and uplifting those around her.
