As the child of a dairy farmer and a commercial contractor, Simental has always known hard work and the rewards it can bring. But his surgical-leadership career — working with other distinguished physicians and students aspiring to make a difference in the world, as well as letting himself be taught and even healed by his patients — has helped Simental reach a deep understanding of the value of spending time with people.
