  • Bile duct reconstruction, used to repair or rebuild the bile ducts and often necessary when cancer blocks or invades these structures. 
  • Cytoreductive surgery for metastatic disease, a surgical procedure aimed at removing as much of the primary tumor as possible when the cancer has spread beyond the liver. 
  • Hepatic artery infusion pump placement, when a small pump is implanted in the hepatic artery to deliver chemotherapy directly.
