Flu Season Hospital Visitor Limitations

Temporary limitations are in place for hospital visitors. Visitors must be 18 years or older and not exhibit any flu symptoms.

What is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)?

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a preventable and treatable disease that makes it difficult to empty air out of the lungs. This airflow obstruction can lead to shortness of breath or feeling tired because you are working harder to breathe. COPD is a term that is used to include chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or a combination of both conditions.

How do I know if I have COPD?

Shortness of breath, cough and/or mucus production that does not go away, are common signs and symptoms of COPD. Schedule an appointment with one of our COPD specialists, who will evaluate you for a spirometry breathing test that measures airway obstruction.
