Limited English Proficiency Services

LLUH is committed to communicating information plainly in a language or mode that can be understood by each patient or surrogate decision-maker. Patients and surrogate decision-makers have the right to give and receive important information related to their condition and to participate in the development and implementation of their plan of care. LLUH provides free language interpreter services to patients or surrogate decision-makers with limited English proficiency regardless of where services are provided within LLUH. Communication assistance is also provided for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, low vision, or with other sensory impairments as described in our Statement of Non-Discrimination.
