Adult Congenital Clinic
The Adult Congenital Heart Disease clinic at Loma Linda University Health International Heart Institute provides world class, coordinated care with a multidisciplinary team approach including services for high risk obstetrics, electrophysiology (heart rhythm disorders), heart catheterization (valve implantation, septal defect closure, treatment of narrowed valves or arteries), heart failure, echocardiography, heart transplant and cardiac surgery.
The Arrhythmia Program, specializing in both pediatrics and adults, offers the latest treatments and technologies for the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders. As part of an academic medical center, our electrophysiologists and nurse practitioners have advanced training and many years of experience in managing patients with an abnormal heart rhythm. Treatments include medications, procedures and implantable devices to help normalize arrhythmias. This team works in collaboration with other specialty services to ensure individualized care is provided to every patient.
Heart Failure Program
The Heart Failure Program at Loma Linda University International Heart Institute aims to provide patients and their families with the education and support they need to stay healthy and improve quality of life. Heart failure can be managed through one-on-one patient education focusing on medications, cardiac diet, lifestyle modifications and advanced cardiac planning. Our team of experienced doctors, nurse practitioners, dedicated case manager and licensed vocational nurse have worked together to offer exceptional, individualized care since 1997. We currently manage over 1,300 patients living with heart failure, and that number continues to grow.
Interventional Cardiology Program
The Interventional Cardiology Program at the International Heart Institute offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic options for non-surgical treatments of cardiac and vascular conditions. Our specialists work collaboratively with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, electro-physiologists, congenital and heart failure experts. Structural and Valvular Heart Disease Program
We are proud to be the top structural program in the Inland Empire offering services unique, patient-centered, alternative therapies when open heart surgery is not recommended or ideal. The emerging field of structural heart disease has gathered significant momentum over the last decade and our cases have proven to have superior outcomes. We have strong relationships with your referring physicians to ensure you get the best care in the quickest time possible.
Patients can be referred for consultation by their primary care physician or by other cardiologists for specialized heart care situations. Most insurance plans require that you have a primary care physician that coordinates all your care and makes referrals to specialists for heart conditions they cannot treat.
