LLUHEC provides professional liability coverage to residents and former residents on an occurrence basis. This means that no “tail” coverage is needed to assure the resident is covered for actions done at LLUH during residency. LLUHEC participates in the Loma Linda University Health self-insured trust. The trust is to be fully funded and purchases appropriate re-insurance. This would continue to provide coverage should LLUHEC close.
