If you would like to moonlight as a resident, you must:

  • Have a full, unrestricted California medical license.
  • Have the capacity to do additional work outside of residency.
  • Still be able to complete residency successfully.
  • Have a successful in-service exam percentile and be a current PGY-2 or higher

Moonlighting During Residency

You may have access to in-house moonlighting. In addition to a full license, residents must have a successful in-service exam percentile and be a current PGY-2 or higher.
