Are you ready to make lasting changes to your health and well-being? Our ten-week virtual intensive therapeutic lifestyle change (ITLC) program offers a comprehensive and supportive approach to improving your health, guided by a diverse team of experts in the field of lifestyle medicine.
Our Health 180 Program is a comprehensive, high-intensity approach to improving health by targeting key lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, physical activity, relationships, and avoidance of toxic substances. Your treatment plan will integrate key health changes into your lifestyle to help improve your quality of life. Our program aims to create a synergistic effect that significantly improves physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Past participants of our Health 180 program have experienced measurable improvements in weight, blood pressure, blood glucose control, and cholesterol. Participants also experience noticeable gains in energy, mood, motivation, and confidence. Our program includes:
Participate from the comfort of your home with virtual, interactive lifestyle intervention groups and shared medical appointments (SMAs). Note, virtual clinical visits conducted in a small group setting of 8-12 participants. You’ll only need to come into our clinic for pre- and post- program clinical visits.
The "dose" or intensity of these health interventions is crucial because inconsistent efforts may not produce measurable benefits. Higher intensity — such as rigorous adherence to a healthy diet, regular exercise, and structured stress reduction — can kickstart meaningful, sustainable changes in health outcomes.
Our program stands apart because it treats lifestyle change as a whole-person journey, not a narrow checklist. While many programs focus on nutrition and exercise alone, Health 180 integrates the full spectrum of lifestyle pillars. These include:
Starting with your initial individualized assessment with your clinician and moving into weekly virtual group and SMA sessions, interactive learning, and ongoing support, we help you build lifestyle changes that evolve to meet your needs.
You might be a good fit for our program if you are a resident of California and at least 18 years old. You must be able to attend pre- and post-program clinical visits and weekly virtual group and SMA sessions for 10 consecutive weeks. You must be physically present in the state of California during the virtual sessions. You must also have at least two conditions that could benefit from an intensive lifestyle change program, such as:
We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare, Risk Management, and PPO options such as Blue Cross, TriWest, and EB&M, as well as HMO and Managed Care plans. Coverage and copays may apply for some or all clinical visits, depending on your insurance coverage.
There are no other program fees outside your usual appointment copays. Loma Linda University students should expect to pay their standard copay based on their student health insurance plan.

Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based approach to preventing, treating, and often reversing chronic disease by addressing six key areas: Nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, avoidance of harmful substances, and healthy relationships.
A shared medical appointment is a group visit that combines medical care and education. You will receive evaluation and treatment from a clinician while learning alongside others with similar health goals.
You receive comprehensive care that includes medical treatment, health education, and personalized coaching — all within a supportive group environment.
This is a group session focused on education and behavior change, led by a health coach. It does not include medical evaluation or treatment by a clinician.
If you miss an SMA or lifestyle-intervention session, a health education handout covering that session’s topic will be emailed to you the following day.
Program completion requires at least 80% attendance. If you cannot commit at this time, you can join a future cohort. If you expect minimal absences, we can review your situation on a case-by-case basis.
A referral may be required depending on your insurance plan.
No. We focus on a plant-forward approach and will meet you where you are. Your diet plan will be tailored to realistic, sustainable changes based on your goals.
Health coaches partner with you individually and in group settings to set realistic, achievable goals and help you reach them. They provide accountability, guidance, and strategies tailored to your lifestyle.
With your help, we can make ambitious innovations in clinical care and education for our community.
