How many letters of recommendations do you require?

Our program requires three letters of recommendation.

Do you require a complete Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate before offering an interview?

Our medical center sponsors an H-1B visa for applicants who are on the F-1 visa and will graduate from a US medical school. All others must obtain the J-1 visa.

Is Loma Linda a religious institution?

Yes, Loma Linda University Health is a Seventh-day Adventist institution.

Does it matter that I am not Adventist?

Not at all. We wholeheartedly accept residents and staff from all backgrounds and religious beliefs.

How will I notice the Adventist traditions in the hospital?

In keeping with the traditions of the Adventist church, we promote a lifestyle of physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness. You may notice this in various aspects of the program, from the vegetarian cafeterias on campus to our approach to caring for patients.
