Dr. Jason Gatling, MD

Anesthesiology

Dr. Jason Gatling is an anesthesiologist at Loma Linda University Health dedicated to compassionate, faith-centered engagement with patients, colleagues, and trainees. He is committed to caring for the whole patient — advocating for individual needs and serving as a steady guide in the operating room. A Tennessee native raised by high school educators, Dr. Gatling once planned to teach biology. Instead, his path led him to Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he discovered anesthesiology — a field that blends physiology, crisis care, procedural skill, and emotional awareness. In 2026, he became Designated Institutional Official and Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, overseeing residency and fellowship programs and helping shape the next generation of physicians. Outside of medicine, Dr. Gatling enjoys spending active time outdoors with family and friends.
