Our program is known for its rigorous clinical training, with functionally integrated academic and clinical phases. In addition to selecting from a variety of interesting rotations, you’ll be able to choose academic and practicum opportunities for your education objectives. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in clinical and core residency training activities while simultaneously taking tuition-waived MPH courses.
The program’s curriculum ultimately prepares you for a career in a wide variety of settings.
All PGY-2 residents without a master’s degree in public health (MPH) or equivalent attend the School of Public Health to obtain one. Your tuition will be waived for an MPH in environmental and occupational health or population medicine. Required subjects include:
Didactics are tailored to fit your needs. Didactic opportunities include weekly grand rounds lectures by field experts, suture and eye exam labs, weekly half-day teaching conference and site visits.
You’ll attend grand rounds for both preventive medicine and occupational medicine. Every week, you’ll join preventive medicine residents at four hours of teaching conferences.
