Dr. Arcobello is the Site Director at LLU for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship and serves on the transplant/immunocompromised clinical service at the LLU Medical Center. He completed his residency and fellowship at Wayne State University.

Dr. Pham completed his infectious diseases and clinical microbiology fellowship at the University of Utah Health. He is an Assistant Director for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. His interests include medical education, HIV care, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical microbiology.

Medical Director, SACHS Infectious Diseases

Dr. Cappiello is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He is an attending physician in infectious diseases and HIV care at SAC Health, one of the largest federally qualified health centers in the United States. Originally trained in Med/Peds, Dr. Cappiello's research interests include neglected tropical diseases, as well as HIV prevention in marginalized populations. He also has a longstanding interest in public policy.

Division Director of Resident Education and ID Interest Group Mentor, LLU
Dr. Carr completed her residency training at Loma Linda University and fellowship at the Yale New Haven Medical Center. She serves as Director of Resident Education in the Division of Infectious Diseases at LLU, as well as a mentor for the ID Interest Group. Her areas of interest include HIV, syphilis, zoonotic infections, fungal infections, and diagnostic challenges.

Dr. Chang serves on the transplant/immunocompromised clinical service at the LLU Medical Center. She completed her internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then served as a clinical instructor while also completing an additional year of training in transplant infectious disease at UCLA prior to coming to LLU Medical Center.

Dr. Endo attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed both internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Eisenhower Medical Center. Their clinical interests include HIV care, LGBTQ+ health, and expanding access to infectious disease services for underserved communities.

Richelle Guerrero-Wooley, MD

Dr. Guerrero-Wooley completed her residency at Adventist Health and infectious diseases fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center. She serves as Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, Chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, and is a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee at LLU Medical Center. Her clinical emphasis lies in antimicrobial stewardship, bone and joint infections, and diabetic foot infections.

Eugene Liu, MD

Co-Director of Hospital Epidemiology, LLU Medical Center
Dr. Liu completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Michigan and infectious diseases fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He was an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer at CDC in the Parasitic Disease Branch. He serves as Co-Director of Hospital Epidemiology at LLU. His research interests include understanding the emergence of multi-drug resistant organisms.

Dr. Robledo completed his medical school training at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and subsequently worked as a research associate at the renowned Instituto de Medicina Tropical Alexander von Humboldt.  He completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and fellowship at the University of Washington, where he also earned a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology.  He serves on the general and transplant/immunocompromised ID services. He is interested in neglected tropical diseases epidemiology, HTLV-1, parasitic infections, and antimicrobial stewardship.

Dr. Rogstad completed his internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He serves as Associate Dean for Basic Science Education at the LLU School of Medicine, as well as the director of the LLU Coccidioides Clinic.

Dr. Ursales finished her residency training at the Kettering Medical Center and fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center. She serves as the Director of Global Medicine at LLU with a clinical and academic focus in global health.

Dr. Veltman heads the Infectious Diseases Division at LLU as Division Chief. In addition to her executive duties she currently leads multiple clinical trials in COVID-19 and HIV care. She completed her residency training at Wayne State University and fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Nakamatsu serves as the director of the HIV clinic at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Wong serves as director for the HIV Pathway in the Internal Medicine Residency program which trains residents in the acute and longitudinal care of persons living with HIV infection. He completed his residency and fellowship at the LAC+USC Keck School of Medicine.

Dr. Ing heads the Infectious Diseases Section at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital. He completed his residency training at the LLU School of Medicine and served as chief resident at the Riverside General Hospital University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship at UCLA Harbor, and DTM&H training at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Ing’s renowned professional career includes decades of experience in leading academic medicine in the Inland Empire. His leadership duties also include Chair of the Infection Control Committee at the LLVA, as well as serving on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Antibiotic Stewardship, Water Safety, and Clinical Practice committees.
