Our fellowship curriculum is designed to develop all core competencies through close mentorship, comprehensive didactic instruction, in-depth and broad ranging clinical experiences, and an emphasis on scholarly work. Every graduate will be well prepared as a physician leader with advanced knowledge and expertise in infectious diseases.

- Provide comprehensive HIV care for our patients within a robust program that is funded by the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
- Opportunities for electives in specialized outpatient experiences such as Coccidioides, HRA, hepatitis C, and travel medicine clinics.
Conferences
- Tuesdays (4-5 pm): Case conference (general ID, immunocompromised ID, HIV), global health, journal club, M&M
- Thursdays (4-5 pm, Zoom): Core lectures geared towards board preparation and clinical pearls for daily practice
- Plate rounds: Multi-disciplinary conference including our clinical microbiology lab director, Pathology residents, and lab technologists. We meet to review interesting cases, plates, gram stains, lactophenol cotton blue stains, and histopathology slides. The goal is to develop a strong microbiology background, resolve diagnostic dilemmas, and navigate diagnostic algorithms.
- Inland Empire Intercity ID rounds: Regional case conference held every two months to network with ID clinicians and discuss fascinating cases. Attendees come from LLU, LLU VA, Kaiser Permanente, Riverside University Health System, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and private practice
