Goal $15 million
Through Stronger Together, Loma Linda University School of Nursing aims to address the critical nursing shortage by constructing a new, state-of-the-art educational building and investing in student support services and scholarship programs.
Established in 1905, the school was the first of the institution’s eight schools and was founded upon a legacy of global Christian service. Over the last 124 years, it has expanded its programs, services, and student body. Now, it is embarking on a $15 million campaign to double its graduation rate.
California anticipates a deficit of 40,000 nurses in a decade, and the School of Nursing is ready to help fill that gap.
In 1907, the first class graduated seven students. Today, the school boasts 764 students from 34 countries, including 538 students of color, many of whom are first-generation college students. Offering 5 undergraduate and 15 graduate programs, the school provides an exemplary nursing education centered in whole person care. Every gift to the Stronger Together campaign will help prepare more nurses for lives of service.
