Advancing Cancer Care and Research

Cancer is a leading health challenge affecting nearly four out of ten people over the course of their lifetime. Through Stronger Together, we are uniting some of the world’s most advanced cancer therapies onto one campus to shape the future of cancer care for adults and children.

Together, we are building on the strength of our cancer center to unite leading-edge treatment and research capabilities in one place.

Together, we are expanding access to advanced therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy, theranostics, boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), and FLASH proton therapy.

Together, we are recruiting high-impact scientists and clinicians who translate laboratory discoveries into personalized patient care for children and adults.

Expanding Specialty Care for Children

As pediatric care has grown to meet the needs of the Inland Empire, specialty services have expanded across multiple locations. Our new Children’s Health Specialty Clinics will create a centralized home for outpatient pediatric specialty care — strengthening coordination, collaboration, and continuity for families.

Together, we are bringing hospital-based pediatric specialty services into one purpose-designed, five-story facility opening in 2026.

Together, we are supporting more than 75,000 patient visits annually in a space thoughtfully developed for interdisciplinary, team-based care.

Together, we are creating an environment that supports children physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Families like Bryson’s understand the importance of coordinated specialty care. After multiple surgeries and a heart transplant early in life, Bryson’s family experienced firsthand how seamless communication between care teams strengthens healing. This new facility ensures families receive that level of care in one dedicated location.

Expanding Access to Care in the Inland Empire

Demand for advanced, compassionate healthcare continues to grow. From Loma Linda to Murrieta and throughout Southwest Riverside County, families need access to high-quality, whole person care close to home.

Together, we are expanding inpatient and neonatal capacity in Murrieta to relieve emergency department strain and keep families close during critical moments.

Together, we are investing in advanced clinical technology — including updated cancer equipment and expanded PossAbilities services.

Together, we are establishing a comprehensive sickle cell clinic to serve one of California’s largest affected populations.

Academic Innovations

Meeting the Need for Quality Nurses

California is projected to face a shortage of more than 40,000 nurses within the next decade. In response, the state has called on Loma Linda University to expand enrollment to help address this urgent need.

Together, we will grow our nursing programs from 225 to 300 new students annually.

Together, we will build a new 25,000-square-foot educational facility featuring advanced simulation labs, interactive classrooms, collaboration spaces, and faculty offices.

Together, we will invest in scholarships, student support services, and clinical partnerships to prepare nurses to deliver whole person care in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Expanding for Innovations in Dental Education

For more than seven decades, the School of Dentistry has shaped oral healthcare through exceptional clinical training. Today, 800+ patients are served daily across 13 clinics, giving students hands-on experience while expanding care in the Inland Empire.

Together, we will renovate and modernize clinical and teaching spaces — including the newly acquired 38,700-square-foot Redlands Boulevard building — to expand advanced practice training.

Together, we will reimagine and renovate Prince Hall in future phases to reflect emerging models of dental education.

Together, we will strengthen research, faculty excellence, and mission-driven service that provides affordable, high-quality oral healthcare to our community.
