In order to meet our community’s growing need for quality medical care, we have opened the newest member of the Loma Linda family: Loma Linda University Surgical Hospital.

Our History

Loma Linda University Health is committed to ingenuity and innovation in medical practice. Loma Linda University Health was the first medical center in the Inland Empire to acquire da Vinci® Robotic Surgery System in 2004 and 2005. The pioneering nature of this facility is exemplified by the early adoption of several key services for robotic/minimally invasive approaches to cancer treatment.

Since early 2005, both our urology and gynecology departments have been performing robotic, minimally invasive surgery.

In 2009, we started performing gynecologic oncology procedures and in 2010, we started doing general surgery and ENT procedures with both minimally invasive and robotic options for patients. We have performed more of these procedures and for much longer than any other provider in the San Bernardino and Riverside county areas. Working from Loma Linda University Health's mission "to make man whole," our team has been practicing whole person health care since the program's inception.
