The Neurosurgery Department at Loma Linda University Health offers our patients the convenience of post-op video visits. Video visits are a type of virtual visit that brings the best neurosurgery providers in the region directly to you.

What is a video visit?

A video visit is a real-time chat with your provider. You’ll use a computer, smartphone or tablet with video and audio capabilities to see and speak with your provider. From the comfort of your home, you’ll be able to complete your post-op appointment just like normal. Your provider will assess you and let you know the next step in your care.

Post-op video visits provide a number of benefits, including:

  • The comfort of avoiding stressful and time-consuming traveling and parking.
  • More timely appointments and less waiting around in a doctor’s office.
  • Convenience, accessibility and reliability that result in better quality of care.

How does a video visit work?

Your neurosurgery provider will let you know if you’re eligible for video visits. Usually, patients who have had a less invasive procedure are eligible. During the video visit, patients must be located in the state of California to be eligible.

To schedule a post-op video visit, call the neurosurgery clinic at 909-558-6388 or toll free at 877-558-0800

You can check in by logging into MyChart. Once logged in, navigate to the "Appointments and Visits" page. Select the post-op appointment and then click the "eCheck-In" button.

On the day of your post-op appointment, you can access the video visit by logging into MyChart. Navigate to your appointment again and then click the green "Begin Visit" button.
