Our Family Medicine residency promotes a balanced lifestyle. We’re dedicated to providing the educational, professional, and personal support you need to stay healthy — physically, mentally, and spiritually.

As our resident, we encourage you to organize fun get-togethers, catch up during weekly didactics, and let off steam in regular support group meetings facilitated by mental health professionals. Faculty are open and supportive, ready to help you with any issue.

Activities and Groups

Resident-elected social chairs plan activities throughout the year. These fun events happen monthly and help foster community between you and your fellow residents. The program also hosts Happy Monday sessions to discuss various aspects of professional development, with lunch included.

Two big events annually include the Family Medicine retreat and the Christmas party, with our entire residency, faculty, and staff are invited to joining in the fun.

There are also plenty of fun destinations in our area, making it easy to plan day-trips and get togethers during your free time. These activities might include coffee shops, skiing, beach outings, desert or mountain hikes, and media or dinner clubs. Not to mention the new ideas each new cohort shares with the current social chair.

 Other events include:

  • Bowling Night
  • Potlucks
  • Escape Rooms
  • Sports tournaments
  • Local hikes in our many mountain and desert communities that surround our campus
