His research interest includes Kidney Transplant in Hispanic population and drug dosing in patients undergoing dialysis.. He enjoys teaching, cooking, high altitude hiking, and traveling.

Amir Abdipour, MD is a graduate of Shahid Beheshti Medical University from Iran. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at Loma Linda University. He is currently Chief of Nephrology Division and Medical Director of Therapeutic Apheresis Services at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Siegmund Teichman, MD received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and also completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University. Dr. Teichman subsequently completed a Fellowship in Nephrology at Walter Reed General Hospital. He has key interests in transplantation and dialysis. He is a Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
Sunil Jain, MD received his Medical Degree from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University. Dr. Jain completed his Residency training at the Charleston Area Medical Center. Dr. Jain completed his Internal Medicine Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Melin Narayan, MD received his Medical Degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland. He subsequently completed his Nephrology Fellowship at the Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. His clinical interests include prevention of chronic kidney disease and dialysis. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. He enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Sayna Norouzi, an assistant professor of Medicine and clinical nephrologist at Loma Linda University Medical Center, finished her fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She is the founder and director of the glomerular diseases clinics at Loma Linda and serves as the co-director of the online GlomCon Glomerular Diseases fellowship program. She is also the founder and director of Polycystic Kidney Disease clinic. She has been recognized as the educator of the year for two consecutive years, and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Norouzi focuses on glomerular diseases and polycystic kidney disease, actively participating in various research projects and clinical trials.
Rafael Villicana MD is a Transplant Nephrologist who earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He subsequently completed Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology Fellowships from UCSF. He then spent nearly a decade on staff at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. His interests include kidney and pancreas transplantation, living kidney donation and ABO /HLA incompatible kidney transplantation. He is fluent in Spanish. He is an associate professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
Thanh Xuan Hoang, MD is a graduate of St. George University School of Medicine. His Internal Medicine Residency was at Drexel University School of Medicine where he also did his Nephrology Fellowship and Transplant Fellowship. His key interest is in transplantation. He speaks English and Vietnamese. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
Rungwasee Rattanavich, M.D. is a Transplant Nephrologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. She is a graduate Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University in Thailand. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Framingham Union Hospital, and Nephrology fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She subsequently completed a Nephrology Transplant Fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.
Dr. Jaipaul is the Chief of Medicine at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. He is Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia, followed by a clinical and research fellowship in Nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. During his fellowship, he was the recipient of a NIH T32 training grant in Clinical Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He has been a mentor to students, residents, and fellows interested in chronic kidney disease clinical outcomes research. He has also been recognized for developing one of the most successful kidney transplant programs in the VA.
James McMillan, MD earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University where he also completed his Internal Medicine Residency, staying on as chief medical resident at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Hospital. Subsequently he completed his Nephrology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He served as chief of nephrology at the Loma Linda VA from 2003 to 2016 and Nephrology Fellowship Program Director for Loma Linda University until 2021. He is an associate professor of medicine. His interests include prevention of progression of chronic kidney disease, fluids and electrolytes, and lifestyle influences on kidney disease. He enjoys inviting trainees home for a meal of homegrown fruits and vegetables.
Zhiwei Zhang, MD is an associate professor of Medicine and Basic Sciences at Loma Linda University and staff nephrologist at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. After earning his medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences in China, he completed his Internal Medicine residency training in China and the United States, followed by a fellowship in Nephrology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He has been on staff at Harvard University and St. Louis University prior to current position. He had received the Joseph E. Murray Award from National Kidney Foundation of MA/RI/NH/VT, and an individual National Research Service Award from NIH/NIDDK.
Annie Hong, MD is a staff nephrologist at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System and an assistant professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Nephrology fellowship at University of California, San Diego. Her clinical interests include home dialysis therapies, patient-centered CKD education, and disorders of fluids/electrolytes. She speaks English and Vietnamese.
Mansoor Azim, MD is a staff nephrologist and director of the dialysis unit at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Medical Center. After graduating from David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapies, and kidney transplant. He is fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi. He is an assistant professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Loo received his M.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Resident year at Loma Linda University. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Primary Care and Faculty Development from Michigan State University. He serves as the Vice-Chair for Education and Faculty Development within the Department of Medicine, helping to coordinate the continuum of professional development from medical student education, graduate medical training including the IM residency and fellowships, and continuing medical education. He is Professor of Medicine in both the Departments of Medicine and Medical Education.
