The Loma Linda University Gastroenterology Fellowship program is pleased to offer a comprehensive and competitive clinical education experience. Our program is a robust three-year clinical training experience which offers excellent educational training in all fields of gastroenterology. The fellowship program is sponsored by Loma Linda University Medical Center, the Loma Linda VA and Riverside University Health. The program comprises both inpatient and outpatient rotations.

Educational opportunities are widely available in general gastroenterology, hepatobiliary disease and hepatology. Loma Linda University Medical Center is also a liver transplant center, and fellows work closely with the liver transplant team. Conferences include weekly didactics, Morbility & Mortality cases, guideline and board review, tumor board, pathology conference and Inflammatory Bowerl Disease grand rounds. There are also dedicated elective and research months for fellows to rotate in other areas of interest.

Loma Linda (translated to Beautiful Hill from Spanish) is at the heart of Southern California’s Inland Empire. Ensuring fellow wellness is a priority of our program and the Southern California landscape has plenty of opportunities for this with Loma Linda being within an hour proximity to many beach cities, Palm Springs and the greater Riverside community. Our program also advocates for fellow wellness through didactics, optional retreats, and an official faculty-mentor program. Our goal is to ensure fellow autonomy and success in blossoming into independent, competent and skilled gastroenterologists.
