The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellow will learn, understand and provide compassionate, comprehensive, and competent Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology across the full spectrum in keeping with the mission of Loma Linda University Health, “to make man whole”.
The Advanced Heart Failure Transplant program at Loma Linda is a 12-month clinical training program that will be divided roughly into 50% inpatient care and 50% spent developing clinical skills in the ambulatory setting including outpatient evaluation of patients with heart failure, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, post-transplant cardiac allograft, and adult congenital heart disease.
Loma Linda University Medical Center is associated with Loma Linda University School of Medicine and is located approximately 70 miles east of Los Angeles and 40 miles west of Palm Springs, California. Our new 16 story hospital is a 320-bed facility with state-of-the-art catheterization laboratories, echocardiogram, and advanced imaging facilities.
Our medical center serves an area roughly equal to 25% of the state of California. As a tertiary care facility, the center commonly receives patients with unusual or complicated medical conditions. There is an active medicine service, cancer center, intensive care unit, and coronary care unit.
