For more than 30 years, Marino A. De León, PhD, dedicated his life’s work to advancing research, mentoring the next generation of scientists, and promoting inclusion and equity in biomedical education.
Through his leadership and advocacy, he created opportunities for countless students and colleagues and built a nationally recognized program to address health disparities and improve community health.
He was especially passionate about:
- Research Training Programs
- Development and Pipelines for Center Faculty
- Research for Molecular Imaging and Theranostics
