Our goal is to cultivate expert epileptologists with deep knowledge and skills. As a fellow, you will receive comprehensive training in clinical epilepsy, electroencephalogram (EEG) reading, epilepsy surgery evaluations, neuromodulation, and dietary therapy options.

Curriculum Highlights

  • Exposure to EEGs spanning from neonates to geriatrics 
  • Extensive involvement in surgical planning and intracranial EEG recordings 
  • Learn neuromodulation techniques, including Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), responsive neurostimulation (RNS), and deep brain stimulation (DBS) 
  • Learn dietary therapies, including the ketogenic diet and low glycemic index 
  • Fantastic faculty who are passionate about patient care and fellow education

Curriculum by Year

By the end of the fellowship, you will have developed expertise in reading and reporting complex EEGs in all patient settings, including intracranial monitoring. Additionally, you will be skilled in management of patients with complex epilepsy, utilizing resective surgery, neuromodulation (including VNS, RNS and DBS), and dietary therapy to treat intractable epilepsy. Furthermore, you will be proficient in managing neurological emergencies as it pertains to seizures and EEG monitoring.
