As of March 31, 2021 Loma Linda University Medical Center no longer operates a home health or family care service.
When frequent nursing or personal care at home is needed, our staff can help. Caring for someone at home may require help with activities of daily living, professional medical expertise, and the companionship that you alone cannot give. Patient care from Loma Linda University Medical Center Family Care Services is available for up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Each of our professional specialists is carefully screened--whether hired to provide highly technical nursing services or assist with daily care. Only those individuals who meet our standards of integrity, courtesy, and experience are selected for assignment. Every employee is liability insured.
Our professional staff includes:
- Registered nurses
- Licensed vocational nurses
- Home health aides
We strive to provide quality and effective care to our patients. All of our cases are individually supervised by highly experienced clinical supervisors. We are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC).
Many insurance companies and HMOs pay for care deemed medically necessary by a physician, even when not specifically mentioned in the insurer's handbook. Our supervisory staff can help you understand what types of services are available, will assess your needs, and develop an individualized plan of care for you. We will also negotiate with your insurer for care ordered by the physician. Costs of custodial care are generally not covered by insurers and are available at reasonable costs on a private pay basis.
