Experience an intensive weight-loss approach that gives you the ability to make meaningful lifestyle changes. It can be difficult for many seeking long-term weight loss to alter daily routines and eating habits. Science has found that by using specific anti-obesity medications, the ability to improve one’s lifestyle is possible.
How Does It Work?
During your initial visit, one of our health care providers will work with you to first determine if you are the right candidate for the Metabolic Obesity Clinic.
The plan will include dietary counseling, meal replacement plans, appropriate pharmaceutical interventions, and possibly a referral for bariatric surgery. Each plan will vary for each individual.
After your initial visit, you will meet with the physician once a month for four months. You can choose the visits to be one-on-one or in a group setting with other individuals seeking similar pathways to health. This is considered Phase I of your treatment.
The clinic follows a medical protocol that includes:
- Lab work
- Body composition
- Psychometric testing
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing
- Assessment of metabolic rate
Once Phase I is complete, you will meet with your physician once every three months.
Please note, if you have a medical condition, such as diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorder, arthritis, sleep apnea or gastrointestinal disorder due to extra weight, your PPO insurance provider may be able to cover these visits.
