Our program prepares you to use lifestyle medicine as a therapeutic modality for the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic disease in individuals, populations and communities. You’ll develop expertise that can provide hope to those suffering from chronic disease, changing how you practice medicine and interact with patients.

Program Components

Curriculum

You’ll participate in a structured, intensive curriculum designed to provide in-depth and practical knowledge in a variety of settings. Your training covers multiple chronic diseases with patients in different stages of disease severity or progression.

 

Facilities

You will rotate through our inpatient and outpatient lifestyle medicine clinical service lines at the Loma Linda University Health campus.

Research

Scholarly activities are personalized to your interests as well as institutional and national needs in the lifestyle medicine field. Every week, you’ll dedicate eight hours (20% of your time) to scholarly activities.
